What Should I Do About Stomach Cramps From A Ovarian Cyst Every Time I Exercise?

I’m 4 months post op (laporascopic hysterectomy, kept my ovaries). Told I have a 5cm cyst in one of my ovaries which causes pain quite often and seems worse when I do stomach exercises. Is it safe for me to use a stomach exercise belt, like Slendertone to improve my stomach muscles?

Hi,

Ovarian cyst should not be subjected any type of massage or pressure. Please stop wearing the belt you are using. Similarly, any strenuous abdominal work outs should be avoided. Please consult your physical instructor about this issue. Your pain and cramps in abdomen might be due to these. It can cause injury or rupture of the cyst on a long go and may cause serious problem. For your abdominal girth, simple shift walk would work.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
