Hello,

Consulting a good diabetologist in this condition is important. Blood sugar is high can be little dangerous and may lead to diabetic ketoacidosis (DKA) or other complications. Keep monitoring your blood sugar closely. Check or absorb if any symptoms of DKA such as nausea or vomiting, abdominal pain, rapid breathing or shortness of breath, fruity (acetone) breath odor, confusion or drowsiness.

If you have any of these symptoms, Contact your healthcare provider. You gave yourself 40 units of 75/25 insulin 45 minutes ago. That's a large dose. If your blood sugar is still high, do NOT take more insulin without consulting a doctor or diabetes specialist urgently because it may create risk hypoglycemia later.

Right now, keep hydrating, avoid sugar and starches, and seek for medical care for close monitoring. Once stabilized, diet planning will help you maintain better control. Our expert dieticians are available 24/7 to assist you. As per recent medical condition you may raise a diet plan request, Experts will prepare customized diet plan after assessing your nutritional requirements and details provided by you.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Priyanka Singh, Dietitian & Nutritionist
