Hello,

You already washed your eye with water, ideally, rinse with clean running water for at least 10–15 minutes after exposure. Do NOT rub or press the eye. Continue your prescribed eye medications. Since your cornea was recently operated on, you are advised to urgently visit an eye emergency clinic if you experience redness, burning or stinging sensation, blurred or decreased vision, eye watering, or pain in the eye.

Your cornea and conjunctiva will be clinically examined and if required you will be given antibiotic drops or soothing lubricant. Get clinically evaluated to ensure that your IOL and healing tissues remain unharmed.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Nupur K., General & Family Physician
