What Should I Do As Ny Head Feeling Heavy Due To Hitting My Head?

I hit my head on the tailgate of our car. Just walked into it at normal walking speed, but it was hard enough that i felt immediately dizzy. I did not pass out, just knelt to the ground and got up after a minute. I kept doing house work after that and feel largely OK, but my head feels heavy and it hurts a little (in general, not at the spot I hit). Not terrible pain, it s just that I notice it. Do I need to go to the ER, or can I monitor for a while and look for additional symptoms. If so, what should I look for.

If you felt dazed or suddenly confused, disoriented, or just zoned from the time you smacked your head causing you to kneel on the ground that lasted a minute. Or if you saw a sudden flash of light at the moment of impact followed by an immediate sense of confusion/disorientation then, you may have suffered a concussion and a visit to your doctor would be a wise move for a general checkup. If you did not suffer a concussion then, treating any headache you may have with something over the counter according to the labeling instructions may be sufficient along with a cold compress to the area of the head you struck. Write to www.bit.ly/drdariushsaghafi and I can help you with more questions.If you do start with pressure in the head that is getting worse, nausea which leads to vomiting, or feel confused at any point during the day now that it's been a little while since striking yourself then, an ER trip is warranted.
