What Should I Do For Nose Block After Being Hurt And Bleeding?

Hi, my baby while sleeping, tossed her head on my nose. My nose bled for a few minutes and one side of my nose is blocked. I suffer periodic sharp pain to my left side of my face from my nose to my forehead. My left nose is totally blocked. What should I do? I iced my nose and it is no longer painful.

Hi Dear,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have nose block after being hurt and bleeding . Well the symptoms you mention in query can occur due to may reasons like Infection. , trauma, , allergic and non-allergic rhinitis , hypertension and use of blood thinning medications .But in your case it seems to me that the bleeding and stuffy nose is due to soft tissue injury like cartilage or blood clots . I would suggest you to apply warm compresses on nose , take steam and do warm saline nasal rinses . If condition doesn't get inprove then consult ENT specialist for proper diagnosis and rule out bone fracture . Doctor may order x-ray , CT scan and physically examination . Doctor may prescribe antibiotics and may fix the bone .
