What Should I Do For The Dryness Of The Throat?

After a laser surgery for the removal of my left tonsillar cyst, my throat feels dry all the time.
My ENT doctor told me to drink more water, eat jelly and ice-cream.
It's already 1 months now, only slight improvement.
How long will this dryness goes off ?
Any recommendation on what I should do ?

ENT Specialist 's  Response
Hello and welcome to health care magic,

Some amount of dryness after tonsils removal is expected so do not worry and do these:
-take an antireflux medication like pantoprazole in consultation with your doctor
-start also an antihistamine like levocetrizine in consultation with your doctor
-avoid oily and spicy food
-take voice rest and do not scream or whisper or speak for long time

if not better then get an upper GI endoscopy done and get back to me or your ENT with the report

regards
