HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

It is generally advised that q tips and other objects should not be placed in the ear because of the risk of causing trauma to the ear. It is possible that this is the reason for the blood on the cotton.
Using objects into the ear can often introduces infection.

You need to be reassessed by your doctor to see if you have another infection. It would also be best to use softening agents or have ear syringing done, if you have a problem of excess wax accumulation.

I hope this helps
