What Should I Do To Stop Spotting And Cramping During The Pregnancy?
Hi I m on my 23 weeks & 1 day. I had an ultrasound on my 20 weeks, placenta (location - Posterior lowest edge 2.18cm from the internal os, then Cervix - long & closed. Since my first trimester, I had a spotting (some kind of brownish discharge). Then, there was a time that I don t have this spotting episode for a week, but this morning, I ve experienced a brownish discharge (like old blood). No cramping, no pain at all. I just had a bad dream this morning. What should I do? Hope to hear from you soon. Thank you!
Hello, I would be happy to help you with your question.
The brownish discharge that you are experiencing is probably related to "old blood" that was sitting near the inside of the cervix. It was probably there because of the location of the placenta. This is the most likely explanation, but you need to run this by your OB Provider as well to make sure that they do not want to rescan your cervix and placental location. Make sure that this scan is performed vaginally.
I hope that this helps and good luck!
