What Should Be Done For A Painful Red Rash On The Arm?

Hello, I have been sitting in my house and notice that a red round mark appeared on my arm at first i wanted to scratch it, but I didn t then it begin to hurt and started to burn and still does. Can you help and let me know what I need to do. Thank you.

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

It may be insect bite dermatitis. Consult the dermatologist for the perfect diagnosis and proper treatment. A short course of antibiotic with steroids in tapering dose would be helpful. Apply antibiotic cream. Avoid using soap while bathing. Dettol liquid may be used for bath.
