ENT Specialist 's  Response
Hi, if there is no respiratory problem because of edema of the tongue, please do frequent rinses of the oral cavity with saline or very dilute hexidine and the area should heal. If there is respiratory difficulty, see an ENT. You may need an analgesic for the pain if any. Regards
