What Should Be Done For Few Drops Of Blood In Urine And Stool Along With Discomfort In Lower Abdomen?

Hello Doctor
My wife is has observed some blood drops in her urine and stools. It is not profuse bleeding but just 1-2 drops of blood. She also has some discomfort in her lower abdomen. It has been happening since last 3 days and the day it started she suddenly got fever and was feeling very cold and weak.
Could you please advise on this?

Hi. The symptoms told by you are suggestive of Urinary Tract infection. Associated fever, cold and weakness with blood in urine should be investigated with routine blood and urine tests. Culture and Sensitivity test of urine collected in a sterilized container provided by laboratory will help later if she has not been already started with Antibiotics. Plenty of water, a bed rest with proper antibiotics will cure this problem. It is always better to take Antibiotics for 1 to 3 weeks particularly in case of Urinary Infections. It looks the blood in stool may not have any significance at the moment.
