What Should Be Done For Reducing Iron Level In Blood?

Hi what can you do when in you blood there is a higher iron level as normal. That is a higher risk for heartproblems I guess. He has a high risk already due to father and mother they were both heartpatients. He has also sleep apnea. Would a good diet be an good idea. He is 48. (sorry questionmark is not working.) Thank you.
