What Should Be Done If A Jaundice Patient Is Uncomfortable After Meals ?

my 17 years old son is having jaundice. last week his bilirubin was as high as 20. now he is not having yellow color, itching is also subsided. but he is feeling discomforatble after taking lunch/dinner. please give me the advise to make him comfortable

hello dear,welcome to healthcare magic forum.
You have not mentioned about cause of jaundice.I guess it is from just a viral hepatitis.
Obstructive jaundice prevents bile(essential for fat digestion) from reaching our intestine.So fats and oils in our food is left undigested,which causes abdominal discomfort.This discomfort can be minimized by decreasing the amount of oils and fats in the food to minimum.And,avoiding non veg items for few weeks.Take enough fluids.Frequent small diets are better than three large meals.
