I did a pregnancy test with prega news (pregnancy test kit available in India), its positive. I'm getting married on 28th Nov, 2013. We dont want a child right now. Hello
THanks for your query.
You are technically qualified for medical abortion.
For pregnancy less than 7 weeks, this regime is quite effective.
MTP kit ( Cipla ) is available
HOwever, do NOT take this kit on your own.
First visit a gynecologist and have your pregnancy confirmed, also get it confirmed that it is intra uterine, and not ectopic pregnancy.
Then take the medical abortion kit as per prescription and guidance ( generally 1 tablet of mifepristone followed by 4 tablets of misoprostol ).
A follow up visit after 15 days is essential to know that procedure was complete.
This method is quite safe, but if not done under medical supervision, there are grave risks such as uncontrolled bleeding, infection, incomplete abortion etc.
Take care.
