What Should Be Done To Treat An Injury Caused In Leg, On The Side Of The Shin?

I banged my leg really hard on the side of the shin on a steel ball in the back of the truck . I've been icing it on and off all day but it really hurts. Could not find Aspirin but took alka seltzer cold with aspern. Am afraid of blood YYYY@YYYY

Hi. he injury on the part you said is very painful and takes time to get a relief due to blood or edema under pressure. The tablet you took may not be sufficient to control pain. Continue icing. Raise the leg above the heart level in lying down position. I would add you with a tablet of Diclofenac with serratiopeptidase for which may need a prescription. If there is no skin injury, you do not need antibiotic. If there is pain on movement of the leg or sudden swelling which is tight , i would go for the x-ray too.
