What Should Be Taken For Head Injury?

My son hit his head on the concrete earlier today at school. He is still complaining that his head hurts and he is getting more emotional at a drop of a pin... The school sent a note home saying if he shows any of the symptoms (he has just a few) to have him looked at. He has been given some Tylenol after he got home from school. Should I take him to the er to have him looked at?

Hello,

Welcome to Health care magic
I reviewed your history.

It seems from the history that your son had head injury. For pain relief he needs to take analgesic tablets.
However we need to watch out for symptoms suggestive of concussion injury like loss of consciousness, vomiting, severe headache, nausea.... and if these are present evaluation by CT scan and treatment is required.

Hence I advice you to consult your doctor for further evaluation and treatment.

Hope I have answered your question and the information is helpful to you.
Do write back to me for further questions.

Thank you
