What Should Be The Maximum Level Of HCG For A Successful Pregnancy?
Hello Dr. Andrew, I had a miscarriage on May 10 2015. The date of my miscarriage, my HCG level was 14,000. I went to the doctor for a follow-up on May 15th and my HCG level dropped to a 773. My husband and I had unprotected sex this weekend and I m wondering could I possible be pregnant or does my HCG has to reach a certain level to become pregnant? Thanks!
Hi, There is no such limit in HCG value for you to become pregnant. It is indeed the other way around. Your HCG values rise with pregnancy and this is diagnostic of pregnancy. However I would also like to inform you that generally one is advised to avoid pregnancy for upto 6 months after a miscarriage. Hope this answers your questions
