What Should Be The Sugar Level To Do The Operation In Both The Legs?

My father is 58 yrs old . he has faced with a critical accident and he had fractured in both legs. Doctor is saying for operate both legs . Sometimes sugar is crossing 250 and somtime is 160 , 140 ,180 , 115. So what could be the normal sugar rate at this stage for operate both legs
