Hi,
Thanks for posting your query.
I am Dr. R.K and I am pleased to assist you.

Tests should be done to know the genotype of hep C and the HCV RNA levels.
Treatment may be started with Peg Interferon and Ribavirin. Now a new drug has been approved by FDA which is called Sovaldi ( Sofusbuvir).

Tests should also be done to know whether any complication like cirrhosis or liver cancer has occured. An ultrasound/fibroscan and a serum alpha feto protein test should be done.

I hope that answers your question.
Regards.
