What Should I Do As My Flap Is Swollen And Inflamed?

Hi. The flap under my young is swollen and inflamed. It is very uncomfortable and fell especially uncomfortable when I swallow. I feel an uncomfortable sensation down the right side of my neck. My husband says it's looks like it may have puss in it. My insurance does not cover dental. What should I do?!

Hello, Thank you for consulting with HCM.
The area which you are mentioning that is below tongue, there can be two reasons for this swelling.
-First it can be possible that there is some tooth is infected in the lower jaw only which is causing this problem.
-Second it can be possible that the salivary gland below the tongue is infected.
In both the conditions you have to visit a dentist and complete examination done.
