What Symptoms Can Be Noticed While Stone Is Passing Out Of The Ureter?
My husband has finally passed a 10mm kidney stone from the ureter to the bladder. It took about 4 weeks. It is now in the bladder. What are the symptoms if the stone is trying to make it out of the urethra. He is scheduled for surgery this coming Thursday but he s not sure if he s passed it since he is having sensations when urinating sometimes, not all the time .
Hi, Thanks for posting in HCM. I understand your concern. First of all, I do not understand how did your husband know that he has passed the stone to the urinary bladder. Anyway, if it has happened, it is a good sign. Passing stone from urinary bladder to outside through urethra seem to be quite easy. Most if the times, it goes unnoticed. It is better to confirm the status of passage of stones by means of ultrasound scan of abdomen. In case it has not been passed out, it needs to removed by means of lithotripsy or cystoscopy. Kindly consult Urologist with the report for proper evaluation and management. Hope the information provided would be helpful. All the best.
