What Tests One Has To Undergo To Diagnose Asthma?

One of the doctor in Sanjaynagar, Bangalore has diagnosed my mother(58yrs) with asthma. I am not sure about the conclusions. Are there any tests that can conclude whether a person has asthma. Does colombia asia (Bangalore, Hebbal) perform such tests?

Asthma is clinical diagnosis, you get spasm of respiretory tract. There are veriou cause of asthma, commonest is due to allergy & cold.
You need x ray chest & blod test tc,dc esr..etc
