What Tests Should Be Done For Cotinine And Nicotine Analysis?

Hi My name is Vikram, I want to take a life insurance policy in non smoker category, but the issue is that earlier i was a smoker but my intake was low as i normally takes one cigarette but sometimes it go up to 2 a day for last 11 years.its being only two month since i quit smoking. and i am not in any hurry to apply for life insurance. I just want to know for how long i should wait to apply for non smoker category if i want to take that cover and taking in to consideration that insurance company certainly will do my Urine, Sliva and Blood test to know about the truth of level of cotinine or nicotine in my system because i want that company should do my test.

Nicotine is short lived molecule but it's metabolite cotinine can be detected in urine till one and a half month time after the last exposure.
You want to apply in nonsmoker category that is your personal decision. Do not go by this temporary financial gain but try to stick to nonsmoking for safe future as well. Smoking causes cancer in long run apart from other diseases like COPD and respiratory illnesses.
