What To Do As I Have Missed The Second Dose Of Rabipur?

hello, I was bitten by my puppy while rescuing him from the attack another dog and my puppy was not vaccinated so i started to take rabipur as 0,3,7,14 & 21 or 28. after taking my first dose i missed the second one for day 3rd so please tel me what to do, my puppy is fine can i resume my dose or i have to make new schedule please tel me.

Hello,
Welcome to HCM,

Rabies is 100% fatal but it is 100% preventable by proper and adequate treatment. As you were bit by a unvaccinated pet dog, treatment should be taken as per the schedule.

You require active immunization with antirabies vaccine on days 0,3,7,14 and 28. If you have missed the second dose of antirabies vaccine take as early as possible.

Observe the dog for 10 days, if the dog is healthy you can discontinue the remaining two doses of vaccine on days 14 and 28.
