What To Do Constipation And Blood In Stool?

Hi Doctor- I was a bit constipated. I had about 4 oz. of apple cider and 3 hours later I ate several handfuls of raisins Stomach pains, doubled over pain, followed by multiple trips to the bathroom. Made me really tired and went to bed. The next morning - still not great - still trips to the bathroom, but bloody stools are now present. What to do? Thank you!

Hi Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..

I have gone through your query and can understand your concern...

Blood in stool in you is due to hemorrhoids or anal fissure related to constipation you are facing. You should increase the fibre in diet by taking whole grains, citrous fruits, legumes, wheat bran, nuts, beans and vegetables.
You can take fibre supplements like psyllium or methylcellulose. You should also increase water drinking. By taking these measures your constipation & blood in stool should be relieved.

If problem persist, you are advised to visit a gastroenterologist

Hope this information helps
