Infectious Diseases Specialist, Dr. Praveen G's Response
Hello, Welcome to HCM, As your doctor as advised you to take antibiotics, it will control the infection and reduces the symptoms. Ear blockage is may be due to swollen external auditory canal by the inflammation of the ear mucosa. It may be also due to infection in the upper respiratory tract which causes congestion of the eustachian tube there by it may blocks the ear. I would suggest you to practice some breathing exercise, so that throat and the the ears will open up and reduces the blocking and improves the hearing. Thank you.
