What To Do For Frequent Bowel Movement?

Hi Doctor What can you suggest I take to help me go to the toilet more frequent. I seam to have problems (lazy bowel) and feel constipated and bloated. I do drink a lot of water and try to eat the right foods, fruit, vegs, white and red meats grains and cereals. (I must say I do have a little dark chocolate every so often) My weight is 64kg I have taken laxatives but always worried that my body will get used to this. Also I must mention I am lactose intolerant. your help would be very much appreciated. Angela

Pulmonologist 's  Response
Hello,

As you explain the situation chocolate colour means that you are not taking enough fibres in your diet. Try to add more and evaluate the situation. Nevertheless, this is not a serious situation and we call it informatory bowel movements.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Jnikolla, Pulmonologist
