What To Do For High Blood Sugar Level?

I'm a diabetic, I don't have ins. so I don't have the means to check my blood sugar very often. I also don't take meds. for the same reason. I checked my blood sugar yesterday and it was 400. Needless to say I don't feel very well. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi, welcome to our site. I am Dr Saumya Mittal.

Read your query. That is a very significant question and i appreciate your problem. I will try my best to answer your query

Insurance is not needed for diabetes

You can get yourself a glucometer, which is relatively inexpensive and easily available in your area.

You can use this to monitor sugars

And you can decide if you want to start with insulin or tablet
In case of the latter, you can try medicines like metformin
If its insulin you look for, the decision is good one

And the dose of medicine can be gradually stepped up

I hope this helps you. Inform the reports mentioned above so i can be of help further. Best of luck.
