What To Do For High Fever Along With Pus In The Throat?

I have an 18 year old boy. He has had fever for 36+ hours even taking 600mg of ibuprofen every 6 hours. We did a rapid strep test yesterday and another one today both were negative, waiting on culture. His throat is covered in puss. He is miserable. What else can we do for some relief? Flu A and B were also negative yesterday

Only brufen is not going to help after so much pus. I would like you to start some antibiotics also. This thing depend on common organism in your region. I would recommend you to go to a ENT specialist and get advice. Promote him for liquid diet and gentle warm things.
