What To Do For High Fever In Child After Vaccination Even After Giving Medicine?

Yes please my baby had her first vaccine tiday she is 8 weeks. This included the new meningitis b jab. I gave her the prescribed paracetamol immediately and she has slept morning of the day. Crying out on her sleep. She has a temp of ovet 38. I gave her calpol over half hour ago and have her stripped by the window and temp still high

Understanding your concern. As per your query your child is suffering from high fever after vaccination even after giving medicine which seems to be due to viral or bacterial infection. It could be due to urinary tract infection. Need not to worry. I would suggest you to visit pediatrician once and get it examined. You should get blood tests redone and start treatment after proper diagnosis. Take multivitamins to booster immunity of body.
Take diet rich in fresh juices and fruits. Drink plenty of water and fluids. You should take anti-allergic medication along with proper course of antibiotic along with Ibuprofen. Do tepid sponging as well to lower down fever.
