What To Do For Inability To Breathe And Weakness Even After Feeding With Pipe In A Person With Choked Oesophagus After Gulping Harpic?

doctor pls help me my brother drank harpic in order to suicide but he was saved but due this his oesophagus got choked,now he is given feeding by a pipe,even though. He is given feeding. He is getting weaker day by day and now he is not able to breathe properly pls give me some suggestions.

Welcome to HCM. I understand your concern.
See ingestion of acids like harpic can cause esophageal and stomach burns.
An endoscopy would be required to see for damage. But now it can be done only after 4-6 weeks.
Breathing problems can be due to pain due to erosions. However there are chances that he might have aspirated food or liquid to his
lungs.
So I would suggest to get a Xray Chest done.
