What To Do For No Feeling In Face After Orbital Floor Blow Out?
I had a orbital floor blow out on my left eye. My double vision is pretty much gone. But still have no feeling in my face. Do you always have to have surgery for something like that. I see a specialist 2moro bout it. But I didn t understand if he was saying yes to surgery or there was a chance of none
Hello It seems from the history that you are having double vision and absence of sensation over face following orbital floor blowout fracture. This indicates entrapment of the inferior rectus or inferior oblique muscle and damage to inferior orbital nerve. The treatment is by repair of the orbital floor fracture. Presence of double vision and paresthesia over face is one of the indication for surgery. Hence I advice you to consult your doctor for surgery. The ideal time for surgery is between 2-3 weeks after fracture.
Thank you
