What To Do For The Rashes Which Appear Only During Night?

Hi, so for the past 3 nights ive been getting a rash in varying places over my body and than it goes away in the morning (ive been taking Benadryl when it appears). The first night was around 7pm after being outside and was only on my arm but was REALLY red and suuuuper ichy. I thought it may have been from misquito bites as I'm very allergic to bug bites or poisin ivey but than I got it again. The second night started while I was at work around 6:30 and I got it on my other arm! I went home and had a shower and when I got out both of my legs were covered. Tonight now about 10 miniutes ago (9:20) I have a rash again but now all over my hips and torso. I have no idea what this could be and besides the allergies I have stated and a slight dust allergy there are no others I know of!!

Hi..
Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..

I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..

As per your complain hives on body with severe itching seems to be most probably due to allergic reaction and can be due to any food or medication, while can be due to any skin cosmetic, detergent, soaps etc..

I would suggest you to consult an Allergist and get evaluated and a thorough clinical evaluation and investigations like allergic tests like Patch test, RAST test, food challenge test etc can help in diagnosis and treatment can be done accordingly..

The tests will help in ruling out the exact cause of the allergen and once you know the cause of the allergic reaction you can avoid exposure to it to prevent allergy attack..

The allergist can advise to oral anti allergics as well as injectable steroids for relief..
As of now you can take anti-allergics like Levocetrizine, Allegra to control the itching and swelling..
Do cool compresses..
Application of calamine lotion can help in soothing the skin..
You can also be instilled an Immunotherapy that will help in reducing the severity and frequency of allergic attack..

Hope this information helps..

Thanks and regards..
