What To Do For The Scab Due To The Healing Water Bump On Toe ?

hi,my mom had a water bump on her toe that has been slowly healing for the past 1 month.

however it has left a small scab that the doctors called dried gangrene that needs to be removed.

in my opinion it is getting better but slowly and having lost 3 ppl to diabetes i am not convinced it is the right thing to do now.

what are my options?

Hi,

I am sorry for the situation your mother is in.

Usually, diabetics suffer of skin problems (infections) as the water bump your mom has on her toe. Such infections are difficult to treat and slowly healing due to persistent high blood sugar levels.

I hope the bump has not left dried gangrene as in this case the only treatment remains surgery (remove the toe). Please be in close contact with her caring doctor to control blood sugar levels and evaluate the progress of her water bump.

Wish fast recovery!
