What To Do For Wound, Neck Pain Caused After Thyroid Was Removed And Stitches Came Out From Scar?

Dear Doc, 3 months ago my gf had her Thyroid removed because cancer, after a few days the wound started to swoll and a week later a stitch came out from the scar. We went to the doctor and he said my gf has an allergy to internal stitches. After it the wound get more and more swollen so we went to see the doc again and he make a little hole on the scar to take the pus out saying to her to do the same everyday and the next day 6 stitches came out. Now, after 3 months, there no stitches coming out but pus and the wound and the neck are very painfull so she has to eat painkillers everyday. We visited the doc today again coz she was so in pain she couldn't work, but the dog just gave her more painkillers. So i wanna ask you if there's something we can do for it or just waiting coz she said she is feeling worse day my day. Thankyou very much

Hi,

I have gone through your query.
Three Months time is sufficient for a surgical wound to heal. Since it is a allergic reaction to internal stitches and most of them are removed. There is still pus coming out of the wound. It shows that there is infection of the wound and it should be treated by intravenous antibiotic course along the painkillers.
Consult your doctor for further management.
Picture of the wound will help to access the situation to some extent.
