What To Do If Feeling Like Something Struck, Choked In The Oesophagus After Eating Tortilla Chip?
Hi. I ate a tortilla chip a couple hours ago, and it feels like there's a piece of it caught in my esophagus (roughly in a straight line from the point on the front of my neck between my collar bones back through my neck to the esophagus, almost in my upper back). I would have thought that it would have dissolved and gone down to my stomach by now, but I still feel a lump there. I've tried drinking warm water and eating a piece of bread, but no luck. Is it possible that it's a scratch or irritation in my esophagus from eating the chip?
Without examining you , it is impossible to tell , but most of the time , food chips will go down the esophagus and the discomfort maybe due to the scrartching of the lining of the food pipe by the chip! Please meet your ent doctor if you still can swallow in 24 hours or develop fever , vomiting or breathing difficulty. Thanks
