What To Put On The Infected Keloid Of The Belly Button?
Hi Doc I had my tubes tied about 7 years ago, I then developed a Keloid over the scar on my belly button, the keloid became infected and eventually poped, it drained a lot of redish pass, what should i put on it, i don,t want it to become infected again and grow evan larger, what should i do?
I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns.
As per your complain if you have got the keloid infected and it popped releasing infected fluid, so now you should consult your surgeon and get evaluated and he can advise you to take a short course of antibiotics like Ciprofloxacin and metronidazole, clean the are with antiseptic solution, tru and remove pus as much as possible by putting gentle pressure and apply antibiotic ointment over it.. Hopefully it will start healing in a week.. In case if there are recurring episodes of the same problem removal of the keloid by lazer or conventional surgical procedure is an option..
Hope this information helps..
Thanks and regards. Dr.Honey Nandwani Arora
