What Treatment Do You Suggest For Ant Bites With Burning And Itching Sensation?

My husband got many red ant bites 4 years ago , on his legs. we have seen dermatologists & had tests done by an allergist doctor. Tried all kinds of crèmes & also steroids. He has burning & itching so bad ,he can t sleep at nights. The only thing that gives him relief is ice pacts! Never had any injections for it? Please can you help?

Hello friend,

Welcome to healthcaremagic. I read your query and understood your concern.

You husband is actually suffering from chronic urticaria.

Its a form of allergy which can be due to infection, drugs, seasonal varioation, food and many more things.

I will suggest him to get following blood tests :

1 Complete hemogram
2 Absolute eosinophil count
3 stool for ova and cyst
4 Thyroid profile
5 LFT/KFT

Till the reports come, he can take tab levocetrizine 5 mg night tme daily fr 2 weeks.

Also take tab albendazole 400 mg stat night time.

Get the blood tests done and attac hthe reports and get back to me so that i can advice you further.
Thanx
