What Treatment Is Recommended For Acute Tonsilopharyngitis?

Hi i would like to ask about my chest xray. I am applying for abroad. I underwent chest xray PA it was noted that it was clear. Then i had an apico position chest xray. It was noted that i have few fibroventricular densities at right apex possibly from previous infection. I only had acute tonsilopharangitis.Should i be undergoing treatment for ATT? Im from philippines.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,
Thanks for posting in HCM.
I understand your concern.
What problems you are facing is related to infection of pharynx and tonsils. You need to take ATT only when it is proved that you are an active case of tuberculosis by means of chest X-ray findings and sputum examination results.
Otherwise, for your throat infection, taking oral antibiotic course like Azithromycin, Throat decongestant medications containg Chlorpheniramine maleate and doing salt water gargling should suffice.
Hope the information provided would be helpful.
All the best.
