sir...my widal test report .... test name observed values To TITRE AGGLUTINATION UPTO 1 IN 80 DIL TH TITRE AGGLUTINATION UPTO 1 IN 80 DIL AH TITRE LESS THAN 1 IN 20 DIL BH TITRE LESS THAN 1 IN 20 DIL My doctor told me i having typhoid......what to do now sir?... my platelet count is 1.5 lakhs per cumm

Hi,

It would be more helpful if you mentioned why the test was ordered. How long you are having fever? The test report you mentioned is normal, and not suggestive of typhoid, although platelet count is on the lower side. But typhoid is diagnosed not just by Widal test alone, but from a combined analysis of symptoms, examination findings and blood tests including blood count, Widal test and more importantly blood culture.

Usually we suspect typhoid when fever persists beyond 5 days without other obvious reason. Kindly discuss with your doctor, or get back with the above said details.
