m using demelan cream for my skin......i had acne....which hv left scars nd hyperpigmented spots.........it contains 10% glycolic acid 5%arbutin nd 2% kojic acid dipalmitate..........wat do u suggest........cn u pls tell me wat s the duration for application of ths cream
Ingredients like glycolic acid, arbutin and kojic acid dipalmitate are skin lightening agents. Arbutin and kojic acid inhibit the synthesis of new melanin whereas glycolic acid exfoliates existing melanin, thus gradually fading away the hyperpigmentation.
At the start of therapy it is advisable to use this cream once daily at night OR for 2 hours every night, because it has some irritation potential. Later once the skin gets used to it, it can be used twice daily. With this cream one can expect noticeable improvement by 2-4 weeks and so on.
It is also advisable to use a broad spectrum sunscreen, that which offers both UV B and UV A protection, throughout the day
