What Treatment To Be Taken For High Fever And Constant Headache?

Female, 35 suffering since last 4 days from high fever 104.4 F, minimum-99F, constant headache and pain on both sides of stomach. Blood platelets 40000 since last three days, Hb-11gm, Dengue test-negative. Vidal test yet to be done. Medicine - Sinarest 3 times/day, Ceftriaxone antiiotic injection 2 times a day. Doctor clueless about diagnosis. Presently giving blood transfusion as platelet separator is not available in that city.

As fever is from last 4 days , high grade fever .
The platelets count is 40000 but at present there is no need of blood transfusion for platelets . As dengue is negative and such high grade fever may be due to .
1 Malaria , diagnosis can be confirmed by peripheral blood film on two different occasions. As you mentioned that there is severe headache so think about malaria 2 The next reason of such fever may be typhoid fever , however it is so early to decide about typhoid because so short duration of history of fever.But get in Widal test.
3 The next reason of such high fever may be even due to flu ( 3 days ) .
In my opinion consult a physician ( 2nd opinion ) and deal as mentioned .
Cold sponging also help.
