What Treatment To Be Taken For The Burning Feeling In Head?
Child has a headache, no fever, but complains of "burning up" inside. Says he feels hot, so hot it hurts. Can't figure out what it could be? I tried Ibuprofin, I tried Tums (thinking it could be heartburn?) tried cool drinks and cool wet cloths, but he said those just made him itchy. Any ideas?
I read carefully your question and would recommend consulting with the pediatrician for a careful physical exam and some blood lab tests (complete blood count, kidney and liver function tests, blood electrolytes, inflammation tests).
Have you measured his body temperature?
A viral infection could be the cause of this clinical scenario. Migraine can not be excluded either.
You should discuss with his doctor on the above issues.
Hope you will find this answer helpful! Kind regards, Dr. Aida
