What Type Of Physician To Visit For Moveable Lump Along The Jawline?

i have a small moveable lump along my jawline on right side. it doesn t hurt, no other symptoms in my mouth or no flu like symptoms, nothing. if you look at my face straight on, you can see a slight swelling in that area, but not too noticeable until I tell someone to look and then they notice. recently I ve had what I think is a pinched nerve in my neck/shoulder area on right side as well. My lymph node in my right armpit swells from time to time but goes away. I am starting to think they all might be related, but maybe its just me being paranoid. I am a 40 yr old healthy, active woman. What type of physician would be best to seek out for this lump in my jawline? thank you.

Welcome to health care magic.

1.The moveable lump along the jawline - most possible cause is dilated ducts / salivary glands due to calculus / stricture in the ducts. Sailoadenitis.
2.The next possible cause could be lymph nodal enlargement, along with the neck lumps - which are seen in case of nay infection / inflammation can be localised or systemic.
3.Confirmation of the both can be done by an ultrasound scan -that will evaluate the nature of the lump and its source and extensions.
4.If mass lesion and lymph nodes an FNAC - fine needle aspiration cytology will help to evaluate the cause.
5.So suggest to get an appointment get needful investigation with the help of your GP and further surgeon will be appropriate person too treat. Good luck.

Hope i have answered your query.
