What Would A Small Lump Close To The Anal Region Indicate?

I m a bit embarrassed to say, but there s a small lump on top of my anus, like a big skin tag, it s the size of a pistachio maybe a little bigger. It doesn t hurt at all, I don t bleed or anything, I ve had it for many months. What could it be? Should I be worried?

I may be skin tag or sentinel pile. Consult he dermatologist or surgeon. It may be removed surgically under local anesthesia. There is no need to to worry. Minor surgery may be done.
