What Would A Surgery For Scar Tissue Removal (from A Tonsillectomy) And Proper Positioning Of Palate Entail?

I saw an ORL doc today, and he said I had a lot of scar tissue in my throat from a tonsillectomy back in 1959, and that my palate is way back beyond where it should be. I exhibit some symptoms of sleep apnea, but haven't gone to the sleep lab...yet. He's talking about surgery on my throat and palate. What would that entail?

HI
Thank for asking to HCM
What you have stated here or what the doctor has told you is not the exact medical condition, I think you might be wrongly understood, as a doctor I could say that this is not thing happened after the tonsillectomy, you just need not worry bout this if you still have doubts then you can go for second opinion, but do not go for anything wrong, take care and have nice day.
