What Would Be The Cause Of Low Blood Platelet Count?

I have enlarged spleen for a quite a long time. And recently from last month I have stuffy nose all the time. My blood report is normal except for platelet count is slightly lower: 100,000 (normal range is 150,000 - 400,000) What could be the possible cause?
