What Would Insomnia, Headaches And Stomach Ache While Trying To Conceive Suggest?
Hi, I am 41 and have been trying to concieve for over a year now. This month I feel "different"...I have been feeling some on and off cramping for the last week and a half (I am due for my cycle in 3 days) so I am about at 11 days past ovulation. I have had insomnia for the past 2 nights, and a weird feeling in my stomache, almost like kind of sick feeling. I have had headaches, and I was very gasy last week ( sorry), and my breast are sore to the touch. I did a pregnancy test about an hour ago and it was negative. I have normal 28 day cycles.
Hello, Your symptoms are not specific to pregnancy; they can occur during the pre-menstrual phase also. You can wait for your next normal period to occur and go for a home pregnancy test 3-7 days later if you miss it, with a fresh early morning sample of urine. A HPT cannot read well before a missed period as it is not very sensitive. For such confirmation, you need to have an estimate of the serum beta-hCG titres which are very specific and sensitive. Hope you find this information helpful. Take care.
