When Can D Dimer Levels Be Tested After Suffering A Chest Pain?
recent 3 wk off work r/t back injury+ 4hr recent flight. 10days ago in a.m. became +++sob and light headed, midsternal CP-resolved in approx. 3 min. ?PE...will D dimer still be elevated? is there a point now in testing? (still slightly soboe). I am an ER RN.

Actually the results of D-Dimer can't be as reliable if 10 days passed.
In this case if the overall risk is high CT angiography will be the best option.
