When Can I Start Smoking After Slight Case Of Pneumonia?

hi ive recently come down with a slight case of pneumonia in my right lower lung, ive been on antibiotics 3 times daily (amoxicillin 500 mg) and prednisone 20 mg twice a day, im feeling alot better besides a slight shortness of breath from time to time, how long should i wait to smoke?

Hi welcome to HCM...

Smoking is among one of the predisposing factor for pneumonia ....

Complete the course of antibiotic and steroid .....

As a doctor I would suggest you not to smoke as your lung damaged from pneumonia ...

Atleast until full recovery of clinical symptoms and resolution of consolidation in chest x ray , smoking not done ....

Take healthy and balanced diet ....
